Kit for Afghan needy
school children:

To
promote Education of Afghan children and to assist Afghan new returnees and poor
families send their children into school
recently HASCO
launched a new school
supplies distribution programme for 2008.
Under HASCO Education Kit distribution Program HASCO Volunteers in Kabul have
distributed hundreds pieces of Education Kits among several Girls and Boys
school in Arzaan Qemat area during first weeks of Afghan new school year 1387
(March / April 2008), each Education Kit contains School
Bag with Pens, Pencils,
Notebooks, Ruler, Eraser and other need of a school child.
The schools of Arzan Qemat area have been chosen by HASCO with consultation of
Afghan Education authorities for distribution of school supplies, Arzan Qemat
residential project (means cheap price houses) located 15 km east of Kabul City,
majority of
residents are
Afghan disadvantaged
new returnees and poor
families
which providing school supplies for their school children
is an
extra burden to them.
During distribution process school children of Ahmadsha Baba
BiBi Aishia Sadiqa Girls school
and Lycee Ibrahim Khalil
have received Education Kits,Teachers and school children of each school expressed appreciation and thanks
for providing them with school needs.
In the end of distribution process
director of Ibrahim
Khalil High School spoke about the need of education for
Afghan Children and thanked HASCO volunteers for spending their time to assist
Afghanistan school children.
During distribution process representative of the Afghan Ministry of Education
Mr.Naqibullah and the head of Kabul 12 district Education department was also
participated in
distribution process together with HASCO Volunteers.
Today the biggest challenge
facing
Afghan families
is to provide their school age
children with school materials, such as notepads pens pencils,
clothes and
other needs of school, to
support these
families HASCO organized several school supplies assistance programmes during
last five years in
different part
Afghanistan.
On
20th June 2005 HASCO launched the largest school supplies operation under the name of Hope Journey Caravan in North of Kabul, during Hopes
Journey Caravan HASCO Volunteers distributed more than 2 000 pounds of school
supplies in Qarabagh,KalaKan,and Mir bachkot districts in North of Kabul,
the school supplies have collected by tens of school children, and teachers from
different part of United States for Afghanistan children.
Thanks to Mr.Cary Ragsdale and tens of other Volunteers in United States for
collecting school supplies and spending their time to assist Afghan children,

are also thankful to International
Assistance forces in Afghanistan
for shipment
of all donated school supplies to Bagram Airfield without any charge. |
